The 2011 NECB provides minimum requirements for the design and
construction of energy-efficient buildings and covers the
building envelope, HVAC systems and equipment, service water
heating, lighting and electrical power systems and motors. It
applies to new buildings and substantial renovations in existing
buildings.
The new 2011 NECB has now been published and can be ordered in
copy or downloadable format from NRCan Office of Energy Efficiency
