Close to 17,000 commercial buildings in British Columbia could
soon be energy efficient thanks to a recently signed agreement between the
Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, BC Hydro and the
Building Owners and Managers Association of BC (BOMA).

First BOMA BESt Level 4 certification achieved in BC
Shaw Tower, managed by Westbank Projects Corporation, is the first building to achieve BOMA BESt Level 4 in British Columbia. Shaw Tower, located in Vancouver, demonstrates outstanding achievement in the areas of energy and water resource management, waste and emission reduction, indoor environment and management systems in addition to initiating green programs amongst their tenants including, battery recycling, commuter ride-sharing and a joint landlord/tenant action committee.
