Description
The City of Vancouver is now implementing the first phase of a multi-year initiative to address the energy and carbon of large existing commercial and multi-family buildings in Vancouver. Starting this month, owners and/or managers of the city’s very largest buildings will need to submit an annual report of their property’s energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) use characteristics.
In the coming years, the City will expand the size and type of buildings subject to the requirements. Eventually, all commercial and multi-family buildings greater than 50,000 square feet within Vancouver will be subject to mandatory energy and carbon reporting.
This webinar is for building owners, managers, or strata councils that would like to learn more about the City’s new and forthcoming requirements.
Co-hosted by the City of Vancouver, BC Hydro, and BOMA BC, this info session will cover the following topics:
- Background and regulatory rationale
- Buildings that will be subject to the reporting requirement
- How building owners will report via ENERGY STAR ® Portfolio Manager ®
- Resources available to support industry compliance
