BOMA BEST® is a national green building certification program launched by BOMA Canada in 2005 to address an industry need for realistic standards for energy and environmental performance of existing buildings based on accurate, independently verified information.
Commercial buildings that are BOMA BEST® certified will have a distinct advantage when it comes to attracting and retaining tenants. In most cases, it also costs less to operate and maintain the buildings due to increase in overall building efficiency.
For more info on the program visit the BOMA BEST® website
The BOMA e-EnergyTraining program provides building operators and managers of commercial and institutional buildings with the effective tools to reduce operating costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve employee productivity & comfort.
The program is a self-paced, interactive online program accessible from any location.
Building operators and managers will be able to identify energy management opportunities through technological advancements (HVAC, lighting, electrical), operational changes and behavioral changes leading to energy savings as much as 28%. In addition, they will learn compelling approaches to influence building stakeholders to adopt energy management initiatives corporately.
Visit the e-Energy Training website for video demonstrations, course details and testimonials from course graduates.

BOMA uTrack is a cost-effective tool available to BOMA members to better track, monitor and analyze their energy and water consumption. BOMA uTrack utilizes PUMA's user-friendly dashboard which can display utility information according to energy used and costs, GHG emissions, energy and cost savings for your whole portfolio. Data is inputted by the uTrack team ensuring quality control and reducing your time spent on data input.
Baselines can be set to track performance against and compare to your energy reduction goals. BOMA uTrack can also quickly consolidate utility data for energy, facility or portfolio totals in quick access reports that are available in excel, html and pdf.

- Upload of 3 years historical billing data for all required utility meter accounts. The data will be requested directly from utility providers, with authorization from the BOMA Member.
- Weather corrected comparison of each meter's energy consumption. Identification of energy consumption trends with correlation weather data for each account, the selection of a baseline period (in consultation with the BOMA Member), and creation of a mathematical model using statistical regression analysis.
$90/Utility Account
Ongoing Fee
- Access to all reports through the web portal 24/7.
- Initial training and ongoing training for new features (as part of a group webinar).
- Up to 1/2 hour per month of help desk support from BOMA.

Our newly launched Decarb Accelerator Program provides hands-on assistance for identifying and reducing GHG emissions and overall building efficiencies – ALL at no cost to the building!
Every building participating in the program will receive a dedicated Decarb Program Manager/Engineer who will work one-on-one with your team to assess and determine what unique support or resources your property and team might need to reduce your energy and carbon emissions.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for BOMA to support buildings meaningfully and profoundly through funding from the Federal Government and in partnership with the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre (ZEIC).
