Mechanical insulation plays a critical role in building performance, energy efficiency, and long-term asset protection. Join us to hear from the BC Insulation Contractors Association (BCICA), about the BCICA Quality Assurance Contractor Program, including its intent, how it is specified, what to expect during site reviews, and how findings are reported.

The session will also explore mechanical insulation fundamentals and best practices, with a focus on real-world applications. Attendees will gain insight into common installation mistakes, frequently overlooked specification requirements, and areas where insulation is often over-specified, along with practical, cost-effective alternatives. The discussion will include practical guidance on insulating valves, pumps, meters, mechanical joints, and other challenging components.
