Location
Fairmont Waterfront Hotel
900 Canada Pl, Vancouver BC
Description
Join BOMA BC for a dynamic conversation with Jon Stovell, CEO of Reliance Properties, as he discusses the planned transformation of 1111 West Hastings from an office building into a boutique hotel in partnership with Germain Hotels. This adaptive reuse project is a bold response to Vancouver’s growing hotel room shortage and shifting downtown office landscape.
Adding to the discussion, a representative from the City of Vancouver will speak about the Hotel Development Task Force, a new initiative aimed at encouraging hotel development across the city. The Task Force is working to identify barriers to hotel construction, streamline permitting processes, and encourage investment in new and converted hotel properties to support tourism and economic growth.
